How to Reach

Nearest railhead Rishikesh (~220 km). Drive to Sonprayag, then 16 km trek or helicopter from Phata.

Best Time to Visit

May to June, September to October. Weather varies by altitude — carry warm layers even in summer.

What to Pack

Windproof jacket, trekking shoes with good grip, poncho, thermals for early morning darshans, a small daypack, torch, personal medicines, and a copy of your ID for permits.
